UPDATE Tuesday 5/24 4pm: The iHeartRadio Engineering staff has been working to restore service to 970 WKCI after a massive weekend outage. Problems at the transmitter site just West of Waynesboro, left the station silent since early Saturday.
Partial service was restored this afternoon around 3pm. Further signal work is expected over the next few days, with full service expected sometime next week.

Original Story for Saturday 5/21: We've had several calls and emails from listeners about 970 AM in Augusta County. Sometime early Saturday morning the station developed transmitter problems at its site near Waynesboro and went off air. iHeart Engineers are working to restore the signal now. It will be off while as these repairs are made.
