AUG Sheriff and Commonwealth Attorney Address Khaleesi Case

From Augusta Sheriff's FB Page: Over the last several weeks, I have received several questions regarding the Khaleesi investigation. Please see Commonwealth's Attorney Tim Martin's statement below.

*****

My office has received several media inquiries regarding the case of Khaleesi Cuthriell. While I understand the public’s curiosity in this matter, I have chosen to keep all matters relating to the investigation quiet so as not to hinder it, or diminish the integrity of an eventual trial. The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has worked tirelessly since they became aware that Khaleesi was missing. They have involved other agencies including: the Virginia State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They have utilized every resource imaginable to bring this case to a conclusion. I have asked them to make no public comment out of concern that it could impede my ability to hold the perpetrators responsible. Though they are not bound to follow my request, they have chosen not to comment, as our agencies work together to bring justice for Khaleesi.
