From the Harrisonburg Police Department FB Page: HPD Initiates Death Investigation:
This morning at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to the 300 Block of E. Market Street for a report of a person down. Upon arrival, Officers located one individual unresponsive in a yard adjacent to the street. The individual, described as a white male in his late 50s, was determined to be deceased.
The HPD Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and an investigation is ongoing. Detectives are currently on scene following up on leads from neighboring residents and witnesses. This appears to be an isolated incident with no immediate threat to the surrounding community at this time.
