VA Man charged With Reckless Handling After Accidentally Shooting Himself

A 26-year-old man has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm after accidentally shooting himself in Norfolk, Virginia. On Tuesday (June 3), the man walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Lincoln Street, near Brambleton Avenue.

According to the Norfolk Police Department (NPD), officers responded to the hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in gunshot victim around 8:20 p.m. An investigation revealed that the wound was self-inflicted. The man has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
