A former teacher’s aide from Staunton has been arrested on two charges of taking indecent liberties with a child by a custodian.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office began investigating in December 2024 after receiving a report from Child Protective Services about possible inappropriate sexual activity involving a teacher’s aide and a student at Valley Academy Regional Alternative School. The aide was later identified as 23-year-old Beyonce Milagro Mass.

According to authorities, the investigation found that Mass had multiple inappropriate relationships with male students that took place off school grounds. Once identified, she was removed from her position and is no longer employed by the school system.

A grand jury indicted Mass on Tuesday, and she was arrested without incident the following day. She is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail. The case is still under investigation. The sheriff’s office emphasized its continued commitment to protecting students and the community.
