Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced that all U.S. and Virginia flags will be flown at half-staff on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in honor of Congressman Gerald E. “Gerry” Connolly.
The governor praised Connolly for his long-standing dedication to the Commonwealth, highlighting his service on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and as a representative for Virginia’s 11th District in the U.S. House. Flags will be lowered at sunrise and stay at half-staff until sunset that day.
