Incumbent Congressman Ben Cline easily defeated his Republican rival to secure the 6th District nomination for Congress.
The contest was not even close with political newcomer Merritt Hale.
With most precincts reporting, the margin of Cline's victory is huge.
"It's an honor to be asked by the constituents of the 6th district to take their concerns to Washington and fight for them, their conservative policies that I've been fighting for these past three and a half years, and our policies we hope to enact under a Republican majority. I'm optimistic that we're going to win a majority here in November and really provide some leadership and some results for the people here in the 6th district," said Cline.
Cline had 82% of the vote to Hale's 18%.
