Both of the areas largest electric service providers are responding to power outages caused by high winds overnight. Shenandoah Valley Electric Co-op is reporting larger outages near Churchville in Augusta County and in Southern Shenandoah County. Areas west of Broadway near Singers Glen also reporting outages in Rockingham county.
Dominion Energy as of 9am, is reporting around 4100 customers without power.
