Rockingham County Sheriff's officers arrested a Weyers Cave man for murder Wednesday evening.
The office reports that at approximately 7pm Wednesday, olfficers received a call to respond to an alleged break-in at Mast and Brunk on Cottontail Trail just outside city limits in Rockingham County. When officers arrived 63-year old Ronald Brunk was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers began CPR. Brunk was later declared deceased at the scene.
Rockingham Sheriff Hutcheson says their investigation revealed Brunk had been involved in a family dispute with his brother Richard, earlier.
Richard Brunk was taken into custody without incident at his home in Augusta County and has been charged.
