The Luray Fire Department Facebook page shared information about a fire Monday afternoon at Luray High School. According to the post, Engine 9, Engine 12, Tower 1, Squad 1, and Tanker 1 responded. It was determined the cause of the smoke was a furnace malfunction. Smoke was originally reported from the commons area. The building was evacuated just before 2 p.m. Students and faculty were allowed back into the building before 2:30 p.m. No injuries were reported. And there was no report of damage to the facility.
