Wilson Memorial High School was placed on a modified lock down again Tues

From the Augusta County Sheriff's Facebook:

For the second day in a row, Wilson Memorial High School was placed on a modified lock down by the Superintendent's Office and the Augusta County Sheriff's Office. Students received the same video on their cell phones as they did yesterday. An investigation into this incident was launched again. At the conclusion of the investigation, deputy's with the ACSO arrested a juvenile student. The student was charged with a felony, 18.2-60, Threats of death or bodily injury to persons on school property. The juvenile was taken to the Shenandoah Valley Detention Center pending court.

Parents need to inform their children that whether they think that these pictures and videos that portray any kind of threat, whether they intend for it to be a joke or not, will be arrested and charged with a felony. We do not take these incidents lightly. This ties up a lot of resources from the Sheriff's Office, the school staff and administration and is counter productive to the learning environment throughout all county schools.

The Sheriff and the school Superintendent, Dr. Eric Bond, are asking for parents to educate their children and help prevent these acts from happening. Furthermore, students will be suspended from school for 10 days, appear in front of a disciplinary board, and will be subjected to school discipline separate from the court system.
