LeBron James Calls Donald Trump a "Bum" on Twitter After Curry Comments

Politics and sports continued to intersect Saturday morning as less than a day after Warriors coach Steve Kerr and two-time MVP Steph Curry confirmed that they did not want to visit the White House to celebrate their title, Trump tweeted he was withdrawing his invitation to Curry.

"Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!" Trump tweeted.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James noticed the president's comments and tweeted back a response.

"U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to the White House was a great honor until you showed up!" James tweeted.

James supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and spoke out against Trump after the Access Hollywood tape leaked.

Trump wasn't just having trouble with NBA stars Saturday. He also began a war of words with the NFL after saying he believed players who kneel during the national anthem in protest should be fired.
